True friends -- they're so hard to find
True friends -- you can't put a value on them
Recently I was visited by my oldest and dearest friend. The last time we saw one another was 15 years ago! We have been friends since grade school. Many, many miles have separated us over the years, but we've always kept in touch with one another. When we were together last month, it was as if we just picked up from where we left off the last time we were together.
The time we spent together seemed so short. We were able to go to the beach and have a "girl's weekend." It was so wonderful to be together and not have to worry about what anyone else may want me for. She said the visit was just long enough to enjoy but short enough to allow good feelings to remain. Her motto has always been
Company is like fish
After 3 days they begin to smell
She's been a true friend for 45 years. I loved her visit. I missed her when she was gone. I'm comforted knowing she's my friend.
