Routines -- National Blog Posting Month Day 2

Routines! Do you have a routine? Do you have more than 1 routine? I bet if you sat down and really thought about it, you'd realize you have several routines! Those things we do on "automatic pilot" daily are our routines!

There's a website about the Fly Lady (www.flylady.com). She's all about organizing your routines. Think about it - isn't your life a little more calm if you have a routine? With a routine you're not floundering around wondering what in the world you have to do or want to do next.

Don't you already have certain things or "chores" that you do on certain days?
Do you have a day set aside for running errands?
Do you have a day set aside where you plan your weekly menu?
Do you have a day set aside where you clean certain areas of your house?
Do you have a day set aside where you grocery shop?
All of these "days set aside" are routines.

Don't you already have certain things that you do every morning, afternoon, and night?
When do you fix your coffee pot for the morning?
When do you run your dishwasher?
When do you empty your dishwasher?
When do you straighten your house daily?
When do you start preparations for supper?
All of these are routines.

I don't know about you, but ....
.... routines are what keep me on track.
.... routines are what keep me from becoming rattled.
.... routines are what gets everything done for my family.
.... routines are what keeps my business on track.
.... routines are what keeps my house straight.

If you need a little help organizing your routines, visit the Fly Lady! She has a lot of advice. Filter through it a baby step at a time. Some of it will help you. Some of it will serve no useful purpose to you. However, it will help you develop your routines and get yourself and life organized.
