For some time I've been thinking about buying a pair of Dansko shoes. Several people I know wear them religiously and swear by them. I've looked at them several times and read about them. Then ...... over the weekend someone told me that Nordstroms was going to have a sale on Dansko shoes this week.
OK! It's a sign! All the research has paid off and with a sale in progress now is the time to BUY! On Monday I called Nordstroms to confirm the sale. Over the phone I was told the sale begins today, and there would be a 10% to 40% discount on all Dansko shoes! I was so pleased that all the waiting had paid off!
So ..... I purposely waited until today to go to Nordstroms in the neighboring city. Now ..... where I live you drive out of one city directly into another city. I had to travel across the river to, what I consider to be, the nicest mall in the area. It's probably a 10 mile drive. Certainly not a major trek. But ...... for me ...... to drive through the tunnel ...... at night ...... on the interstate ...... deal with the parking garage ...... is a major feat in life. It's not something I truly enjoy doing - AND ...... I don't like to shop.
When I get to Nordstroms, I'm informed that I was given incorrect information. The entire line of Dansko is not on sale - only two styles. They are 33% off. I don't like either style.
It wasn't my night.

ReplyDeleteWell at least you went to decent mall. Our mall here is such a decrepid piece of, well, you know what. It has been going downhill for many years. Hmmm, maybe a blog topic for the day.
