How Far Do Feet Go?

How far do feet go
How many miles in one year
Let's go there next year

If you look down the left side of my blog, you'll see that I've added a step/mile count! Keeping track of the number of miles I walk in a year wasn't actually my idea. I snitched it from a friend (thanks, Angee!).

Here's the basic premise of her idea: keep track of the number of miles you walk in one year - at the end of the year travel somewhere that's the equivalent distance from home that you walked.

Here's what you need to do:
  1. Keep an ongoing diary of your walking. Make this easy on yourself and wear a pedometer every day.
  2. At the end of the day record the number of steps you've taken and how many miles that equals (no math involved - the pedometer calculates it for you).
  3. One year from the day you start (I started on July 4, 2009) plan a trip to some place you've walked!
Hey! If we're going to join this fitness craze with the rest of America and join gyms and "torture" our bodies, we might as well get some enjoyment!

So come on! Join Angee and me! Let's take a walk somewhere!
